  1. I have an allergy or dietary restriction. Can I dine at Smyth or The Loyalist?

    With at least two days notice, we will always do our best to accommodate any allergies or dietary restrictions.

  2. What does an experience to Smyth include?

    When you purchase an experience at Smyth, you are paying for the food, service, and any applicable taxes. All beverage purchases (beverage pairings, coffee, tea, etc.) are an additional charge.

  3. Why am I being charged tax on the service charge?

    Service charges are considered a part of the cost of the food and therefore subject to sales tax. Tips, which are discretionary, are not part of the cost and therefore not subject to sales tax.

  4. Is valet parking available at Smyth + The Loyalist?

    Yes! Valet parking is provided by Metropolitan Valet for $14 per vehicle. At this time, valet parking must be paid via cash only.

  5. To dine at The Loyalist, do I need to make a reservation?

    While making a reservation is recommended for larger parties, it is not necessary for enjoying dinner or drinks at The Loyalist. Part of our dining room as well as all bar seating is available for walk-ins.

  6. Are all of the seating options at The Loyalist communal?

    No! Only part of our dining room offers a communal experience. We offer reserved booth seating, as well as bar and high-top seating for walk-ins.

  7. What happens with the deposit I make for reserving a booth table at The Loyalist?

    The deposit will be deducted from your final bill.

  8. What is your cancellation policy?

    For Smyth: Ticket purchases at Smyth are final and non-refundable. We do, however, offer the opportunity to reschedule your reservation once for another date suitable to your schedule, or to transfer your reservation to another guest. For The Loyalist: We do ask that you cancel with us at least 24-hours prior to your reservation time. Any reservations made with deposits that are cancelled within the 24-hour window will not be refunded.

  9. Can I purchase a gift card to Smyth or The Loyalist?

    Yes! Currently, gift cards can only be purchased by calling us @ 773.913.3773 or stopping by to the restaurant.
